Dufry's World Duty Free signs new contract with P&O Ferries
The Dufry Group has signed a new long-term contract with P&O Ferries to place World Duty Free stores on several of its ships.
A total of 19 stores will be opened across 15 P&O vessels between April and May next year.
Those chosen include six which sail the Dover to Calais across the English Channel, two that serve Zeebrugge to Hull via the North Sea and three which journey between Liverpool and Dublin.
World Duty Free plan to oversee the running of each store and implement a state-of-the-art shop design offering a tailored assortment of both local and international brands for each route.
Customers can choose from the usual high-quality assortment of goods like perfume, food, cosmetics, confectionary, toys, tobacco and travel essentials.
“We are delighted to be able to partner with World Duty Free to give the customers on our ships shopping experiences of the highest quality,” said P&O Ferries CEO Janette Bell.
“Our commitment to creating memorable events for the people who travel with us is one of the reasons why so many of them tell us that their holiday begins as soon as they set foot on our ship.”
